■ Foreword
Modern International Art & Design Academy ( MIADA) is an art & design academy jointly invested by Foundation ISEC and Chongqing Technology & Business University . It was established in accordance with “ Education Law of the People's Republic of China ”, “ Work Plan of Ministry of Education about Industrial Design” and other relevant laws, statutes and policies. Miada is in essence a joint-venture which is a secondary art & design academy of CTBU . It is situated in the Art & Design Building of CTBU。

■ Education Philosophy of MIADA
By using open teaching method, we seek to provide the students with internationalized professional designing ideas and information as wide as possible and as direct as possible. We will also actively promote communication with foreign countries in teaching and other aspects so as to help establish a strong foundation for the students to make certain their professional direction in the future。
The essence of graphic design is translating verbal messages into visual forms。
China is changing rapidly. The enormous development of manufacturing industry and service industry will need graphic designers who combine international new ideas with thousands of years of Chinese culture and civilization. MIADA。
MIADA is a completely new academy based on western leading teaching method. Each student has his own free feelings and expressions to create his own unique ideas and ../images. Teachers of MIADA will stand behind the students with all their knowledge and experience, guiding and stimulating. It means MIADA conducts personal education, each student has to go his own way. This is quite new in China

■ Ideas of Design
The essence of design is translating verbal messages into visual forms. The key of design is to seek a perfect joint point between free ideas and commercial needs. The significance of design is to become a media reflecting both commercial and uncommercial spirit. The future of design is to have design – a kind of public service which is reached through artistic creation – valued and respected by society as a cultural phenomenon。
